水をかけるだけですぐに研げ、研削力が高く非常に滑らかな研ぎ味。安定した品質の焼成法砥石です。かつて天然砥石に代わる理容刃物用として開発されたMG法超仕上砥石「光石」。その硬く締まった滑らかな研ぎ味と研削力を、独自の工程による焼成法で再現しました。変質・ひび割れの心配が不要な高品質砥石です。

末広商標ブランドのひとつ「光石」は、枯渇が危惧されていた良質な天然砥石に代わる超仕上砥石として1970年代に開発されました。超微粒子研磨材と酸化マグネシウム（MgO）を結合材にした自然養生セメント法（MG法）によって製造され、ステンレスやコバルトの超硬合金でつくられた理容ハサミ、レザー、日本剃刀などの研磨に適した砥石としてご好評いただいてまいりました。
MG法の砥石は軽く水をかけるだけで研ぎ始められ、非常に高い研削力が得られるのが特長ですが、反面、水に浸けっ放しにすることによる変質や、温度変化・乾燥によるひび割れなど取り扱いに注意が必要な面がありました。「優秀な研ぎ味を変えずに欠点を克服してほしい」というユーザー様のご要望にお応えし、長年の開発の末、#10000（1μ以上）の超微粒子素材と独自のビトリファイド製法（焼成法）で変質・ひび割れを克服した超仕上砥石「別誂品 光石」として製品化いたしました。その研ぎ味、研削力はオリジナルを凌ぐものとなっております。一切の妥協を許さず作り上げた「別誂 光石」を、ぜひ味わってください。

"Kouseki" — a super finishing whetstone made by the magnesium oxide manufacturing method, used for polishing blades for hairdressing in place of natural whetstones. We reproduced the hard, tightened, and smooth sharpening and grinding power by our original firing method. It is a high-quality whetstone with no worry of deterioration or cracking.
As one of Suehiro's trademark brands, "Kouseki" replaces high-quality natural whetstones, which have long had issues of quick depletion. It is made by the magnesium oxide method, a natural cementing method from the '70s that combines ultrafine abrasive particles and magnesium oxide (MgO), and is effective in sharpening stainless steel and cobalt cemented carbide barber scissors, razors, and Japanese razors. After many years of R&D, we made this product "New Kouseki (Improved based on customer feedback) SRK-10000," which overcomes the flaws of immersion-related deterioration and cracking with its no. 10000 (over 1 micrometer) ultrafine particle material and original vitrified (firing) method. Its feel and grinding power far surpass the original.
