“スエヒロ極妙シリーズ”は超微粒子の研磨材と結合剤を独自の製法で高温焼成したセラミック砥石です。超微粒子研磨材の特性を生かしながら、従来の天然砥石や樹脂製砥石、合成セメント砥石の欠点でした温度変化や水・お湯に浸したままでの砥石硬度の低下、のろけ、ヒビ割れ等の変質を克服しました。研磨材は、その粒子を＃１３,０００（１.０ミクロン）から＃２０,０００（０.５ミクロン）まですり上げたもので、なめらかで絶妙な研ぎ味は、今までの合成仕上砥をはるかに凌ぐ超仕上砥となりました。

■ ご使用に関して
本品は空隙が微細で高密度ですので軽く濡らすだけですぐに研ぐことができます。ご使用前に砥石を水に浸してすぐ上げるか、手水で表面を濡らしてから研ぎ始めてください。通常の環境下（夏、冬の温度差）や水に浸したままでの品質変化の心配は全くありません。従来の人造砥石（焼成品）と同様にお使いいただけます。
※良い研ぎ感を維持する為、使用後は水で研ぎドロを流しセットの修正砥石で表面をキレイにしてください。

The “Suehiro Gokumyo Series” is made with our unique combination of ultra-fine abrasives and binders. Our fired ceramic whetstones take full advantage of ultra-fine abrasives while overcoming the drawbacks of conventional natural and resin-based stones — loss of hardness from temperature change or immersion, surface degradation, and cracking. The abrasives have been enhanced from #13,000 (1.0 micron) to #20,000 (0.5 micron), giving a smooth, superbly sharp edge that far exceeds earlier synthetic stones.

■ Usage Instructions
This dense, fine-pored whetstone can be used immediately after lightly wetting it. Before use, briefly submerge it in water or wet the surface by hand, then begin sharpening. Under normal conditions (summer/winter temperature changes, or immersion in water) there is no risk of quality loss; use it like any conventional kiln-fired whetstone. After each use, rinse off the mud with water and restore the surface with the included restoration stone.
