Suehiro Maido MG1000-3 - Limited Magnesia Whetstone #1000 (Compact Size)
A hard, smooth medium stone that leaves a fine finish reminiscent of a natural whetstone. It is made by Suehiro's original magnesia (magnesium-oxide bonded) method - a material line the company has now discontinued.
■ Limited Last Stock
Maido is a magnesia whetstone naturally aged in storage for 15 to 20 years to reach its finest condition. This is from Suehiro's last magnesia-made stock: production ended with the first lot and will never be produced again.
■ Please Note
Because of the long-term natural aging in storage, the stone may show uneven color or patterns. This is a characteristic of the material and does not affect sharpening performance.
